Customization

Customization is another reason one would choose to build a computer over purchasing a pre-built one; customization also happens to be the very reason why I enjoy and continue to build computers to this day. When buying a pre-built, the costumer is severely limited to certain aesthetic designs from company to company. Granted, there is a little wiggle room for personalization with pre-builts. However, there are generally not enough customization options to make a pre-built computer truly feel “unique” to the individual who uses it. This is not the case for custom-built computers; on the contrary, the customization potential is limitless! As a person who spends a majority of his time on the Internet (like most people my age), I feel like the computer is an extension of myself and therefore I would like to own a computer with precise specifications that I prefer. Custom computer building enables you do so. I wanted to own a computer that had a minimalistic aesthetic and a red/black color theme, and thus, I built one to these specifications! The image below is my computer in question:

To put frankly, building a computer enables an individual to make it completely their own. If one felt so inclined, a computer can be built into a cardboard box. On the other hand, if one extremely enjoyed the aquatic and felt ambitious, a computer could also be built into an aquarium!
